From Princess to Costume Jewel
The Princess and the Pea
Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a princess of great sensitivity and incomparable delicacy. To prove her true nobility, she had to pass a unique test: to feel a pea hidden under twenty mattresses and twenty quilts. Thanks to her finesse and refinement, she succeeded in this challenge, thus demonstrating her purity and sensitivity.
This story inspired the creation of a unique jewel: the original Petit Pois women's brooch. A jewel which, like the princess, symbolizes finesse, elegance and authenticity.
The Creation of the Petit Pois Brooch
In our workshop in Rennes, France, Stéphane Ravel, a passionate jeweler, brought this tale to life by designing the original Petit Pois women's brooch. With the know-how inherited from Line Vautrin, Stéphane has not only perpetuated this legacy, but also enriched it by developing a unique technique for combining pearls with Émaline, Ciléa's exclusive material. This innovation makes it possible to create even more refined and original pieces, combining tradition and modernity.
Limited Editions
Each collection of Petit Pois brooches, the result of meticulous craftsmanship, is produced in limited quantities, ensuring that each piece remains rare and precious. These limited editions are designed for women who seek uniqueness and wish to wear a jewel full of history and meaning. Owning an original women's brooch from our collection means wearing an exclusive piece, a true timeless treasure.
What is Émaline?
Émaline is a material exclusive to Ciléa, combining modernity and tradition. Coming from Europe, it is meticulously applied and enameled by hand in our workshop in Rennes, guaranteeing an artisanal finish of unmatched quality. Remarkable for its lightness, Émaline offers exceptional comfort while capturing the brilliance of traditional enamel. This unique resin gives each original women's brooch from Ciléa a subtle shine and increased durability, transforming each creation into a true jewel of timeless poetry.
