The origins of the creation of Agnès

The Agnès earrings are inspired by the ephemeral beauty of the poppy. This flower, a symbol of memory and peace, guided the creation of this model, bringing a delicate and timeless touch to every detail.

The poppy has a rich and fascinating history, both around the world and in France, where it is a symbol of beauty, tranquility and memory.

Native to Asia Minor and India, the poppy is an ancient plant that has been used in various cultures for its medicinal properties. Ancient civilizations, such as the Greeks and Egyptians, were already aware of its usefulness.

Over the centuries, the poppy has crossed continents, bringing with it diverse spiritual and cultural meanings. In Greek mythology, the poppy was associated with Hypnos, the god of sleep, symbolizing the power of rest and forgetfulness. Among the Romans, the flower was also a symbol of the sweetness of sleep, as well as reconciliation and inner peace.

In France, the poppy, via the coquelicot (a type of poppy) has become the symbol of remembrance of soldiers who died in combat during the two world wars. Popularized by the poem "In Flanders Fields", it is worn every November 11 during ceremonies in tribute to veterans.
